Electronic Navigation equipment consists of GPS, Chart Plotters, Instrumentation, Autopilots, Sonar (fish finders) Radar and Communications

Becker Enterprises can supply and install  27Mhz, VHF, VHF DSC TRANSCEIVERS and  AM/FM Broadcast receivers and associated antenna’s.

For reliable VHF operation in yachts we recommend the use of high quality RG213 antenna cable where the length required exceeds 20 feet. If you are experiencing poor performance from your marine band radio it may be time to renew your antenna cable.

LONG RANGE HF/MF Transceivers requires correct RF Grounding and Antenna installation. We provide long wire backstay antennas for yachts and fabricate mountings for antenna tuner, installation of  transceiver and most importantly the power supply. High Frequency Marine  Transceivers transmit high RFpower of 130/150 Watts  and requires a minimum 60 amp DC current supply @ 12volts. Becker Enterprises can provide battery banks, fuses and battery boxes to suit. We also instal Ground Shoes which are cast of a porous bronze material which, when immersed water, magnifies the contact area with the water many times beyond that defined by its outer dimensions.

Marine Navigation equipment.

Installation of marine navigation equipment such as autopilots and radar requires fabrication of pedastals for radar scanners to ensure correct beam angles at cruising speeds and strong mounting points for autopilot power units. Contact us for your special mounting needs.

Sonar Transducers

Many manufacturers of echo sounders and depth instruments use AIRMAR  speed, depth and temperature transducers. Installation of many require hull penetration. Plastic transducers for example cannot be installed through timber hulls due to swelling of timber which will cause cracking of transducer housing. Likewise stainless steel transducers cannot be used on aluminium hulls unless electrically insulated otherwise damage caused by electrolytic and galvanic corrosion can occur. For reliable below the waterline work don’t risk doing it yourself.
